COMMENTS & OBSERVATIONS
After having a snorkel at Horseshoe Bay on Saturday afternoon, without cameras, we decided a dive with camera’s was in order on Sunday to record the slugs we had observed on Saturday. Visibility was reasonable, about 3m, not much surge, water temp 29 degrees. Also of note, Sue found a Hydatina physis shell in good condition on the sand at Kings Beach during Saturday morning’s clean up. Sue Churchill accompanied Terry and Julie on this 90 min dive to a depth of 5.2m. We found the critters from the day before plus a couple of extra ones. The Gymnodoris citrina is a first sighting by us at any site.
Taxonomic Diversity:
All 5 species were nudibranchs with the dorids comprising: 2 x phanerobranchs & 2 x cryptobranchs and the cladobranchs represented by one aeolid species, though 5 specimens were counted.
Our Historical data:
As this is the first dive on this site no historical data is presented.
