Goniobranchus sp. 10 Undescribed

Goniobranchus sp. 10 is an undescribed species recorded from the Mooloolah River, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. There are a number of undescribed red-reticulated Goniobranchus in the records of our sightings and in the literature. Most present with a white background colour to the red reticulation, orange/yellow mantle margins and red rhinophores. With this one the mantle margin is orange then golden yellow inside of that, especially anteriorly and posteriorly. There is a band of distinct red spots located in the plain white space submarginally around the entire periphery. It is somewhat like our Goniobranchus sp. 02, except in that species, the spots touch the marginal band that is narrow and just yellow.
