This species highly variable in pattern and colour presentation.
Previously on this website as Mariaglaja sandrana (Rudman, 1973).
Change effected 07/10/2024.
Mariaglaja tsurugensis (Baba, 1959) has priority over Mariaglaja sandrana (Rudman, 1973) having been described earlier and in accordance with the Articles of the ICZN. The molecular work on the Aglajidae by Zamora-Silva & Malaquias, 2018 showed them to be the same species.
